Training and Style
My teaching of yoga comes from a deep place of healing. Having practiced Bikram yoga for 10 years, and finding that as my body changed with the years, my practice also changed. Some days I love a hot room. Some days I prefer a cooler room. Lately I have begun to study and practice Yoga Nidra, both with Restorative postures and with Asana. The work of Yoga Nidra mimics much of the work that comes from using Flower Essences. With Yoga Nidra we release physical/muscular, emotional and mental tension. Some of the benefits of Yoga Nidra are better sleep, more focused concentration, pain relief, and greater creativity. The physical benefits of a regular asana practice are improved flexibility and strength as well as a calmer mind.
I teach a weekly class at Sacred Brooklyn on Mondays at noon where I modify the 26/2 series to a one hour asana class with an optional 20-30 minute Yoga Nidra. On Monday Evenings I teach an Asana-Restorative Class with Yoga Nidra. I also volunteer on Riker’s Island where I have most recently been working in the nursery with incarcerated mothers.
My yoga training includes 200 hr Evolution Training, 200 hr Sacred Brooklyn Training, Rainbow Kids Yoga Training, , Yoga for All, Liberation Prison Yoga, Birthlight Pre and Post Natal Yoga and Yoga Nidra with Mona Anand.

This class is a set series is from the traditional hot 26-2 series The heat is lower (90-95 degrees) and we only do one set of postures. Modifications to make the poses fit your body are always welcome, infusions of flower essences often added. Optional 20-30 minute Yoga Nidra at the end of the class.
Any level welcome. Come for a Asana (movement), Restorative (letting go of tension) and Nidra (letting go of even more tension and while an advanced technique, no experience is required)
