As soon as labor starts, our lives are forever changed. If you are feeling overwhelmed by sleepless nights, feeding, and holding the life of a tiny human in your hands, this group will offer support.
The transition to parenthood is one of the most transformative times in our lives. No amount of preparation will ever fully prepare us for the changes that happen once we bring our little ones home. Our lives are no longer being lived fully as our own, we focus less on self care as we incorporate caring for our wee ones. It is not unusual to no longer know what is “normal” and for fears to arise about our abilities to perform this most sacred of tasks, the care of another human being.
The more sources of information we find, the more difficult it can be to tune into our own intuition. It may feel as if self care is something that will never happen again. During this hour, we will explore yoga with baby, to help us to ground and breath and to release anxieties. We will learn about the use of flower essences to help us with our emotional well being and mind-body health.
We will start each session with a breathing exercise and guided flower essence visualizations. We will incorporate gentle hatha yoga with our babies. You will have a chance to voice your concerns and worries. Come to connect with other people who understand this transitional period of your life.
